Andy Graham
Grade 8 in Classical Guitar (ABRSM) – Grade 5 Music Theory (ABRSM) – Member of the Registry of Guitar Tutors. DBS/CRB Checked.

Andy has nearly 25 years teaching experience and nearly 50 years as a musician.  Whether for fun or study, Andy teaches most styles of guitar from beginner to advanced, for all ages. If you are looking to learn solo style, to accompany voice, or perhaps play in a band, then Andy can guide you. He also teaches other stringed instruments such as bass guitar, mandolin and ukulele.

For those interested in exams, Andy has a 100% pass rate and the average score is 85% (a Distinction).

He taught members of many notable bands including 3 members of Deaf Havana whose albums have reached the top 10 in the UK album charts.

Other former students include members of Berries, Flintmore, Harry Seaton, First Time Fliers, Jessie’s Ghost, Kingdom Keys, The Brink, The First, The Hillbilly Cats, Up Against Us, Vex and many others.

Andy is available to organise and run jam sessions and workshops and has a wealth of experience in staging band events for new musicians and has promoted live music and band tuition locally. This has included music festivals, charity events, jam sessions and showcase gigs for younger bands.

Andy was employed by Children’s Services as a Specialist Music Worker and this involved running Music Workshops for the Youth Service in King’s Lynn, where he grew the group from about a dozen attendees, to between 50-60 each week. He also led Summer Camp Music Workshops for Kingswood over many years and at several locations in the UK.
He was responsible for setting up and organising a commercial teaching studio. After two and half years the school was accommodating over 300 students and 20 tutors.
