Band Clips So Many Roads Groundhog Blues | Duo Clips Key To The Highway Vigilante Man |
Stone Pony was formed by Andy Graham in September 1999 with the original intent of playing early electric American Blues. Over time the set lists have evolved and whilst blues is still a major feature, lots of other styles are now also performed including Rock, Soul, Pop, Americana and Rock and Roll. The band are extremely versatile and can switch from pure blues sets to non-blues sets dependent on what the venue/event requires or perhaps the mood the band is in!
The line-up of the band can vary as Andy has bases in Hampshire, Norfolk and Normandie, France.
The Hampshire line-up is fairly established and usually comprises of Andy Graham (guitar and vocals) along with very accomplished local musicians – Steve Roberts (bass and backing vocals), Ronnie Taylor (sax) and Stuart Marshall (drums).
In Norfolk, frequent band members are sons Jake Graham (drums or bass) and Luke Graham (guitar).
In Normandie most gigs are solo performances.
Whatever the line up, great music played to a very high standard is guaranteed.
The band has an extensive repertoire of about 1000 songs but rather than keeping to a rigid format, the emphasis is on the love music and enjoying the moment, often leading to improvising and jamming, creating a dynamic and exciting chemistry between the musicians. Our audiences certainly don’t seem to mind! We have an established local fan base, both in Hampshire and Norfolk.
Incidentally, the name Stone Pony comes from a Charlie Patton song recorded in 1934 called Stone Pony Blues.

Duos and Solos
Andy often performs as a solo artist or as part of a duo. This can work well for more low key events or for smaller venues. Blues, Folk, Classical and Americana may feature heavily on the set list but as ever with Andy and Stone Pony, versatility is the key and sets can be tailored to your preference…just ask!
